Description
This black and white photograph features two men sitting on a ledge of an outcropping. This rock formation has a sharp two-foot-thick rock ledge. The mustached man on the left is wearing a flat cap, a three-quarter-sleeved button-up shirt tucked into dark trousers with ankle-high work boots. He is holding a rock hammer in his right hand. The man on the left is wearing a homburg hat, white button-up collared shirt with a tie, dark trousers, and dress shoes. The shadow of the men and the ledge formation indicates that the sun is high during the time of their exploration. This rock slab that the men are sitting on is perched on top of a chalk pillar of an outcropping. Also in the distance is a vertically eroded outcropping.
