Description
This black and white photograph captures the exposure of the inner part of the hill formations. The layers at the top of this outcropping break off half way down the side, leaving a lighter colored surface with a stratified slope. Compared to the smoothly layered surface that is shown on the top of the outcroppings on the top right side of the photo, the bottom of the formation shows a vertical erosion buildup of the rock and dirt at the bottom of the hill. In the crevices of the outcropping, found throughout the picture, plants or vegetation in the form of shrub brush is growing. A base of an outcropping is seen at the bottom left side of the photograph. A creek is running between the base and the eroded material at the bottom of the main outcropping along a draw. Numbers are written below the photograph.
