Description
This black and white image shows a baseball game that took place on a dirt field. The field is surrounded by over thirty automobiles with ragtops. Behind the baseball field stands three tents along with a large crowd standing to watch the game. There are nine men on the baseball field looking toward home plate, awaiting the pitch to be thrown. The area behind the outfield is covered in rough brush. In the background of the picture, there is a dense stand of trees full of leaves with vegetation in front of the trees. There are wooden poles set up around the outside of the baseball diamond to be used as foul poles to determine whether or not the ball is in play. There are three umpires on the field, as well as one batter and no base runners. Numbers are written below the photograph.
