Description
This black and white photograph depicts an excavation site. George Sternberg is in field clothes and a hat. He stands in a deep excavation site. Mabel and Ethel sit at the edge of the hole. Sternberg is pointing at an uncovered specimen in his hand. pickaxes are on the left side of the hole. The rock from the dig site is in the foreground. Three trees are in the background with natural grass between the trees and the excavation site. The photograph is overexposed around the edges.
