Description
This black and white photograph depicts an excavation site. Charles W. Sternberg wears field clothes and a hat. He kneels in the center of the dig site and is holding a rock with one hand. He uses a knife on the rock with his other hand. Two shovels and a pickaxe are behind the man. Trees line the background with natural grass between the trees and the excavation site. This photograph is overexposed and white along the edges.
