This black-and-white photograph is looking out over the town and towards the San Jorge Gulf, where the Comodoro Rivadavia, Republica Argentina, sits at the waterline. The photo shows a small waterfront town. In the background, a steamship and two smaller boats float on the sea. The steamship floats just behind the medium sized boat or a barge, and the smallest of the boats is floating in front of both other vessels. The buildings of the port-side village are all low set to the ground, and many buildings feature reflective white roofs. Many telegraph/ telephone or electrical poles stick out of the rough dirt roads leading into the center of the town. The terrain that surrounds the town has rough grass patches, which have a few small hills in the foreground and to the left side of the photo. Stamped at the top left corner, in black ink, a small inscription reads: COMODORO RIVADAVIA (CHUBUT) (Republica Argentina).€
