Description

This black and white photograph is looking out over the town and towards the San Jorge Gulf, where the Comodoro Rivadavia, Republica Argentina, sits at the waterline. The photo shows a small waterfront town. In the background, a steamship and two smaller boats float on the sea. The steamship floats just behind the medium sized boat or a barge, and the smallest of the boats is floating in front of both other vessels. The buildings of the port-side village are all low set to the ground, and many buildings feature reflective white roofs. Many poles stick out of the rough dirt roads leading into the center of the town. The terrain that surrounds the town has rough grass patches, which have a few small hills in the foreground and to the left side of the photo. Printed text is in the top left corner.
