Description

This black and white photograph features the roadster purchased by Elmer Riggs for the Patagonian expedition. George Sternberg, John Abbott, and Elmer Riggs are preparing to take the roadster in search of fossils. Supplies are in the back of the car. Rocky formations are in the background and the foreground is flat land. "Having been lowered down the cliff, the roadster serves as a packhorse."
