Description
This black and white photographic postcard features the city of Rio de Janeiro. A statue of the first ruler of the empire of Brazil, Dom Pedro the first, is sitting on a horse. He has the constitution in his hand and is holding it up. Around the base of the sculpture are warriors. It is made out of bronze and has a granite base. A fence surrounds the monument. Trees are in the foreground. The photograph has a white border. Printed text is on the bottom right corner.
