Description
This black and white photograph overlooks a series of small, sharp, rocky outcroppings in a desert area. The landscape recedes into the background, each hilltop taller than the one before it. Only about one-fourth of a clear sky is visible in the photograph. All of the sharp hilltops are interwoven with one another, forming a canyon landscape. Dried-up erosion streams branch from the top of each hill, eventually combining into a single vein. The distant stratified rock layers are flat across the top and resemble plateaus. Closer to the forefront at the bottom of the photo, the rocky ground is gravelly. The small twisting valleys or draws formed by each hilltop cast shadows against the lower rock formations. Numbers are written below the photograph.
