Description
This black and white photograph depicts the expedition to Canada. "George searches for fossils in the Mushroom Rocks along the Red Deer River." George Sternberg is climbing a rock column, or hoodoo, looking for fossils. He uses his pickaxe on the rock formation to help him climb. Rock outcrops are in the background. Handwriting is below the photograph.
