Description
This black and white photograph depicts an excavation site. A large vertebrate fossil with various bones exposed in a rocky excavated area is in the center of the black and white photograph. Larger dark bones appear toward the top in the wider section of the embedded fossil. In the upper-right corner of the picture, a spade and other various handheld tools are leaning against the rocky slope. Towards the lower-right corner of the photograph, a metal pail of water sits on the rocky terrain. To the left of the vertebrate fossil, four sticks are lying on the landscape. Numbers are written below the photograph.
