Description
This black scrapbook page contains two black and white photographs. Both are photographs of jagged, peaked outcrops. The outcrops are stratified and covered in rills— evidence of water run-off. Both photographs are taken from the vantage of dry river and creek beds, and contain scant vegetation, which mostly consists of sagebrush. The photograph in the upper left depicts a hoodoo as well as two mules and a rider. The rider is wearing a cap and has a large moustache. The photograph at the bottom right contains steep outcrops and loose rock and dust, but no human or animal presence appears in the badlands photograph.
