Description
This black and white photograph depicts a canyon. A river flows through the right side of the canyon but turns to the left as it flows farther from the photographer. The river cuts sharply to each side, creating a zigzag formation. On the left of the photograph the river wraps around a rock outcropping. Brush lines the canyon walls where they are not steep. The steep walls are worn from erosion. Dark colored bands of stratification wrap around the canyon walls. The skyline begins two-thirds of the way up the photograph. The sun illuminates the length of the river. Numbers are written below the photograph.
