Description
This black scrapbook page contains two black and white photographs from George Sternberg's photo album. These two images feature the motorboat from the George Sternberg fossil excavation excursions. The top photo depicts a scow being pulled by the motorboat the group used during their excavation excursions. Behind the scow boat, there is a second, smaller boat. Three men stand on the scow, and one person is toward the front of the motorboat. The men are Charlie (Mortram Sternberg), in the motorboat, Lawrence M. Lambe, Charles H. Sternberg, and Levi Sternberg. The three boats are in the middle of a river with a stretch of land covered by trees behind them. The bottom photo shows the front view of the motorboat pulling the scow. Behind the boats, there is a sizeable sedimentary outcropping. Handwritten descriptions appear beneath both photos.
