Description
This black and white photograph features a horse pulling a wooden wagon along a narrow ridge. The horse, wearing a blanket and a harness, is pulling the wagon containing rocks, equipment, and a man. The man is standing in the wagon, holding reins. The wagon wheels roll close to the edge of the ridge. Below the ridge lies a steep drop-off. Another smaller horse walks in front of the horse pulling the wagons, but the smaller horse does not appear to be harnessed. Two men walk behind the wagon and carry extra equipment. The men wear narrow-brimmed hats, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. They are surrounded by miles of badlands consisting of sedimentary sandstone, siltstone, and claystone. Handwriting is below the photograph.
