Description
This black scrapbook page contains four black and white photographs from George Sternberg's photo album. Two of the photos depict the quarry open to complete excavations. The third photo features bones found in the area. The fourth photo features Peter A. Bungart working on getting the specimen ready for transport. Underneath each of these photos is an inscription written by Sternberg. "George F. Sternberg, now working on behalf of the Geological Survey of Canada, operated a scow-based camp on the Red Deer River between Red Deer and the Munson ferry near Drumheller. Sternberg was assisted by Jacey Glen Mayberry (died ca. 1950; Mayberry 1985) from Red Deer, J.A. Smith, George Housten, and Peter A. Bungart (1876–1948). "
