Description

This black scrapbook page contains four black and white photographs from George Sternberg's photo album. The top two photos serve as a panorama that Sternberg took of some coulees that begin at the prairie level. The bottom left photo features the Red Deer River and the surrounding area. Many spruce trees grow near the river, and large outcroppings are visible on each side. The bottom right photo depicts Sternberg's camp at Tolman Crossing. The tents are in the foreground. Not far from the tents, a boat is tethered to the riverbank near a dock. On the opposite side of the river is a large outcropping.
