This black and white photograph features north from Rosse's ranch along the Red Deer River in Alberta, Canada. The photo depicts a cluster of coniferous trees. The left side of the cluster has fewer trees while the right side has more. In the distance are two hills. The right hill has a few trees. The trees are not on perfectly flat land, but instead on rock outcrops with a mix of short and tall trees. The land has patches where there is no grass. The shrub brush grows on the left of the image. Handwriting is below the photograph.
