Description
This black and white photograph features the Paskapoo Formation near Red Deer. These cliffs slope into a river. They are rocky with no distinct geological layering (stratification). Coniferous trees grow along the slope of the cliff on the left and right sides as well as along the top of the cliff. A wide river can be seen at the base of the cliff. This image depicts a portion of the Paskapoo Formation and was taken near Red Deer in Alberta, Canada, though Sternberg has not specified whether this is the Red Deer River of Red Deer township. Handwriting is below the photograph.
