Description
This black and white photograph features the campsite used by the Sternberg party. The foreground of this photo is the Red Deer River in Alberta, Canada, which Sternberg stood in to capture the photo. In the middle of the photo, Sternberg's tented barge is tethered to the riverbank. On the left side of the scow is Charles H. Sternberg in a dark suit. On the right side of the scow is Jack McGee wearing a hat and smoking a cigar. A rowboat is tied to the scow on the right side of the photo, and Charlie M. Sternberg is sitting in the boat with an oar in his hands. Behind the camp, in the background, are several trees. Handwriting is below the photograph.
