Description
This black and white photograph features George F. Sternberg wrapping the fossil of a Chasmosaurus belli. His hands and the fossil are white from the plaster mix. Excavation tools, along with a sledgehammer and chisel, are on top of the large skull that is in the center of the photo. Sternberg is in the top right corner of the photo and is next to a large canvas or leather bag and a stoneware jug. A pick axe leans against the rock wall in the top left corner. A bucket sits in the lower right corner of the photo. George Sternberg provided a cursive inscription underneath the photo.
