This black and white photograph features a military promotion to Captain certificate for James E. Henderson issued by the State of Missouri Adjutant-General's Office on December 11, 1916. States that Mr. Henderson was commissioned as a Captain in Company "I" Fifty-first Regiment Enrolled Missouri Militia on August 18, 1862. Sam Henderson ordered the photograph.
