This black and white photograph features a portrait of Mrs. E. H. Durham and her three sisters - three of the women are wearing dark colored dresses and one is wearing a light colored dress. Mrs. E. H. Durham ordered the photograph. - the ladies are Mrs. Durham and her three sisters. A note from a niece of Mrs. Durham indicated that Sarah Alice (All) Durham is standing in the back row on the right. More information about the ladies are as follows: Mary Elizabeth (All) Lapuese, 1858 - 1929 ; Permelia Jane "Millie" (All) Shepherd, 1859 - 1951 - She married a man who was elected mayor of St. John. She is buried in the mausoleum in Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John, Kansas. ; Sarah Alice (All) Durham, 1869 - 1939 - She married Eugene Durham. They had children, lived and died in St. John. He was a lawyer, Coal Store owner and school teacher. ; Cora Electra (All) Demuth, 1871 - 1957 - She married and had 4 children. Lived and died in Ellsworth, KS.
