Description
This black and white photograph features a portrait of Peter Franklin Fox - he is wearing a suit and a hat, and is sitting behind two big pumpkins. He was born in 1845 in Smith County, VA. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in the Confederate Army in 1863 and served until the surrender of Gen. Robert E. Lee at Appomattox. He married Sarah Francis Rhea in 1866. They had eight children. Peter Franklin Fox ordered the photograph.
