Description
This black and white photograph features a portrait of James Foster Mawhirter and his wife. The couple is standing next to each other; he is wearing a suit and she is wearing a long light dress Mawhirter, J. Note: James "Jim" Foster Mawhirter. Jim is 6 of 7 children born in St. John Township to Alexander and Jane (Harwood) Mawhirter. His wife's name may be Etta Miskimens. Their children were Edith E. (Mawhirter) Schnell (1906-1992) who is buried in Hobart, Oklahoma, and Blanche A. (Mawhirter) Sperry (1909) who married Earl Speery in 1933. (From April 1, 2020 email from Michele M.
