Description
This black and white photograph features a portrait of a corpse of a Black baby. Permelia Alta Roberts is dressed in a light gown and light shoes lying in a baby stroller. The following is an obituary from the St. John Weekly Times: Last week the News received too late for publication notice of the death of Permelia Alta, daughter of Edward Roberts and wife, who reside near Macksville. The one died on February 14th at the age of two months and six days. C. E. Roberts ordered the photograph.
