Description
This black and white photograph features a portrait of Liberty Lewis Ratliff and his wife, Loretta Jane Durham - the couple is standing next to each other. He is wearing a suit and she is wearing a dress. L.G. Ratliff from Springfield, Missouri ordered the photograph. (Mr. Gray's ledger has the middle initial of G. for Mr. Ratliff) Note from an ancestor of Mrs. Ratliff - This is Loretta Jane (Durham) and her husband Liberty Lewis Ratliff. Loretta is the 4th child of Edwin Riley Durham and first wife, Jane (McDaniel/McDonald). This date (June 1909) was just before they left Kansas for Washington to live and farm in Spokane. She lived until 1928 and probably didn't come back after leaving.
