Artist's Statement
I was experimenting with abstract art and chose to abstract a water fountain. I created a collage out of printed photos I took of one water fountain and tested many different compositions. I ended on this composition because I liked the water leading the eye through the piece and the repetition of different elements of the water fountain. I used charcoal to draw my collage and brought more abstraction to the piece by adding water droplets and more contrast in values.
