Abstract
Abstract Objective: To explore the differences between waterbirth and the overall reduction of pain during labor Design: Quasi-experimental, Exploratory Setting: Hays Medical Center in rural, western Kansas Participants: Laboring mothers at Hays Medical Center for Women's Health Methods: Prior to delivery, mothers will select and be categorized into two groups, natural delivery and waterbirth. Neither group will receive an epidural or other radical means of analgesia. The pain levels experienced in each of the methods of labor will be measured through a written labor pain survey and through various physical tests. Results/Conclusions: Pending results and data collection
