About This Journal
Lines from the Middle of Nowhere is a literary and arts journal that seeks to showcase original prose, poetry, and visual art by artists and writers both within and outside of Fort Hays State University.
In 1989, FHSU students and faculty created Lines from the Middle of Nowhere. It presents the talents of our students and has won national and international awards. As of 2026, the journal will transition from print journal to electronic publication via the FHSU Scholars Repository.
