Description
This color photograph features the American Legion Parade in Newton in 1961. Two antique cars are driving north on Main Street. A group of girls are walking behind them. Two men are in the first car and two men and two women are in the second car. Businesses in background are in the 200 block, east side. The white car with black fenders is a 1914 Saxon that was owned by Walt & Mildred Bradshaw of Newton, KS. They were members of the Wichita Regional Group Horseless Carriage Club of America at that time. The man driving the car is Walt Bradshaw. Ownership of the Model T behind it is unidentified.
