Description

This color photograph features the Harvey County Fair parade going south in the 500 block of Main Street in Newton in 1956. A man sitting on a large wagon is steering four tractors that have been hitched together to perform as a team. This parade entry was created by Clayton Dey Farm Supply. Businesses in the background, left to right: Marietta Shop - 513 N. Main, Wilson Drugs - 515 N. Main (Smith Drug Store lettering is visible on the same sign). Toevs' Men's Wear - 517 N. Main, Johnny's Confectionery - 519 N. Main.
