Description
This color photograph features the Harvey County Fair parade in Newton in 1954. Two floats with men, women and children are going down Main Street. The float at left - Lions Club. The float at right - Old Age Insurance, The Townsend Plan. People are standing on either side of the street next to the automobiles. Businesses seen in the photo include Dillon's, General Conference Mennonite Church offices, Trading Post and Furniture Exchange which were in the 700 block.
