Description

This black and white photograph was taken outside in front of a house. The men and boys are wearing suits and the women and girls are wearing dresses. This image is from 1911 and is part of the Nicholson Family Collection. Two men are sitting in chairs, each holding a child, as other men, women and children gather around them for a casual family photo taken outside of a frame house. The man sitting left is John C. Nicholson, holding John Austin, son of James D. Nicholson. The man sitting right is his father, David Nicholson. The man standing - 2nd from right is James D. Nicholson. Next to James is his wife, Mary Adelaide "Addie" Graybill Nicholson. The girl in front of "Addie" and James is their daughter, Margaret. The woman with a large white collar, back row center, is Mary Morse Nicholson, daughter of John C. Nicholson. The shorter woman in the center is Mary Nicholson, wife of David. The house, 314 East Fourth Street, is the home of James D. Nicholson.
