Description

This black and white photograph features Walton, KS in 1907. The image faces north on First Avenue to the intersection of Main Street. Preparations are underway for celebration of Independence Day, July 4. Slightly right of center a man is installing bunting around a platform set up on sawhorses. Just left of center is a booth of some sort also wrapped in bunting. Also visible in photo: cars, horses and buggies. Text is printed below the photograph.
