This black and white photograph features a print of the A.T.& S.F. Engine 1880 during its working years. Written in pencil on back of photo: "Pg. 16 Neg. 20 Pict. 483. 2-6-2 Prairie Type. #1880 - 1800 Class - Baldwin. Coal Burner. Built 1907. One of 88 engines built. Rebuilt - Argentine (Kans. City Ks), Jan. 1928. Donated to Newton Kansas for display Nov. 18, 1955. 1880 was converted to oil burner in 1941 and assigned to the Middle Divn.
