Description
This black and white photograph features the platform at the Newton Santa Fe Depot in 1984. 'Modern-type box storage for water hoses which are used to water the restrooms and drinking fountains in the passenger cars. Located north of the Main Line. Background: Dining car, tool car and derrick idler car which were part of a derrick (wrecker, big hook) train stored on Track No. 5 (No. 105). -Mike Hurley."
