Description
This black and white photograph features the train tracks with a crossing in the foreground. A typed note is on back of photo: 'View from West First Street railroad crossing. Notice wood fence (9' 5') and location of third wooden coal chute. Metal cylinders were used to blow down steam engines. Top of building behind railroad cars is car shops. White railroad car with railroad wheels is part of the railroad wrecker stored on this track for years. It is now stored on Track No. 5, or Click No. 505, uptown. The switch tender's shanty is out of range to the lower right of the picture. Photo taken Dec. 7, 1945. Lloyd Stagner." Full resolution copies of this file are not available.
