This black and white photograph features North Newton in 1940. Eight young men are playing on an open field. A house, garage, and clothesline with clothes on it are visible in the background. Note on the back of photo reads: "Edward B. Wedel residence in background 219 E. Twenty-fourth, North Newton, KS - facing east. Neighborhood children and Bethel students often used vacant lot for recreation. J. Harold Moyer, 1996".
