Description
A digital photograph of a color print created by Mabel Vandiver, the former chair of the Fort Hays State University Art Department. This print features an owl in flight over a black background. The black background is surrounded by a light brown border. On the left-hand side of the print the blackness is disrupted by white markings. The owl has its wings spread out and its head hunched. It is flying over the word BIRDS in the bottom left corner. Its talons reach over the S in the word BIRDS, and the eyes are wide open and look as if they are looking off the print. Two brown lines separated by a white line extend from the left edge of the print, parallel to the word BIRDS. The lines extend about two-thirds of the way across the print where it looks as if the owl is perched on them.
