Description

A digital photograph of a watercolor painting by Mabel Vandiver following her trip to the Rockies in 1952. The painting is of two cabins in the mountains. A beige road leads up to the cabin. At the center sits a wooden cabin with a gray roof. A chimney on the right of the roof has smoke coming out of it. The cabin has four windows. Another chimney is on the left of the cabin. The second cabin sits on the left, similar to the one at the center. Behind the center cabin stand tall trees with white and brown trunks and olive-colored leaves. A yellow-brown pine tree rises behind the left cabin. A forested blue and green mountain forms the background behind the cabins. White and gray clouds fill the sky with a blue patch poking through on the left.
