Those of us who had the good fortune to spend our undergraduate days in the college during the administration of President Lewis shall always be grateful for the standards his ideals set for us. As a student I marvelled at President Lewis's dreams for the future of the college. As an instructor I have seen many of these dreams realized. He often spoke to us of the value of leadership. His own life was an admirable example of what leadership can accomplish. James R. Start
