Hays, Kansas Sept. 23, 1934 To Chairman and Members, C. of C. Park Board, The following projects have been completed since our last meeting. During this period for approximately two weeks no labor in addition to the caretaker was employed. Cables on the suspension bridge were tightened. The area S.W. of #1 highway bridge was pruned and brush hauled off. Dead trees and brush were cut out and hauled away from walnut grove east of flagpole. Trees in park proper were pruned and dead wood removed. Several loads of debris were cleared out of the creek and piled for future use. Weeds were cut throughout park. Roads were repaired, and were later graded by the Exp. Sta. grader. Ovens were kept clean, cans emptied, wood chopped, tables scrubbed, culverts and shelter houses repaired, dams cleaned and other routine tasks. Yours truly, F.L. Cunningham
