Description
This black and white photograph features eleven women posed on multi-leveled stages in front of a painted backdrop in 1952. One woman sits in a foil-covered chair similar to a throne at the top center, with one woman on each side of her sitting on the platform and two more sets of women on each side under those women also sitting on the platforms. The eleven women wear ballet shoes with ribbons tied to their ankles and are dressed in simple white or light-colored dresses similar to a ballerina. They all have short or styled-up hair. The painted backdrop scene they are posed in front of depicts a two-story house. Behind the painting are dark stage curtains.
