Description

This black and white photographic postcard features a number of corn stalks propped against a wall. A man on the left of it is wearing a shirt and pants with a hat. A man on the right is wearing a shirt with suspenders, trousers and a hat. Another man is standing on his shoulders. This man is wearing a shirt, trousers and a hat. The has his hand up to hold one of the stalks leaning against the wall. There is hand written text on the left side of the card. There is handwriting on the back of the card.

Jewell Co. Corn raised by Henry Boaz 15 ft. 3 in. This is an actual fact about this tall corn. It is not spliced. It is 10 ½ ft to the ear. The seed came from New Mexico and with continued rains in July and August boomed it. The bunch of grass in the picture is 8 ft. tall and is blue stem grass. It was also raised by H. Boaz. Birdie C. Leonard Bennett Delphos Kansas R. F. D.
