Description

This color printed postcard has a black and white photograph inserted on the top half. The image is of Hotel Woodson at Yates Center, Kansas. The photo has typed text at the bottom and the photo is surrounded by a green border. The bottom half of the card is green printed text and green leaves. Orange flowers are in the corners framing the photo. The first letter of the print is orange. The bottom corners depict the orange flower pots. There is handwriting on the back of the card.

Hotel Woodson, Yates Center, Kansas. A word in praise and a picture card, To let you know my great regard For the lovely views and the good old time, I’m having here in this place so fine. Copyrighted 1912 by F.A. Hubold. Jan. 24, 1913. Yates Center Dear friend, yours rec’d and I nearly fainted and fell of my chair. The smeller was handy that’s what saved me. We are enjoying fine health. Mothers jaw is swelled up with toothache that’s all. What are you all doing this winter? We are having no winter the ground has not frozen. Dad was just out digging in the garden. He tries to keep busy I am working all the time as Telephone Operator. Had a nice letter from Edith yesterday with pictures. Hope to hear from you again sometime. Sure wish you would visit me. Helen. This reads like a synopsis don't it?
