Description

This black and white photographic postcard features indigenous people on horses lined up in the foreground. Several wear warbonnets and hold staffs that have feathers attached. Men wearing trousers, long sleeve shirts and hats line the background on horses. All horses face the left. Written text is at the top and bottom of the card. Handwriting is on the back of the card. Part of the "Perils of the Plains" set which are actual photos of a staged 1905 event for the NEA (National Editorial Association). The event took place on the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch near Bliss, Oklahoma.

We arrived here to day & was surprised to see an old friend of mine in De Moines George Fancher - you must know him. His mother died while we were in De Moines so he has in the Vill.
