Description

This black and white photograph features a Sternberg campsite near Kimbetoh, New Mexico. A tent is set up in the foreground, and shrubs are scattered throughout the area. A long building sits behind the tent, and another building is to the right. Six people are in front of the long building. A cross is seen behind the second building. Two men are standing at the front of the tent; one is bent at the waist and has his hand in a metal pan. Two pails are on the ground right next to him. A truck is parked directly behind the tent. Large hills are seen in the background. Handwriting is at the bottom of the photo.
