Description

This black and white photograph features two men in field clothes and hats uncovering fossils at a dig site. The man on the left is George Sternberg. He is kneeling and holding the end of a long object that is partially covered by rock and brush. The man on the right is Barnum Brown. He is crouching over the object and has a pickaxe in his hand. He is chipping away at the rock holding the object in place. Steep terrain and erosion is in the background. Numbers are written below the photograph.
